Position Description

Museum Victoria is seeking an Assistant Collection Manager, Australian Aboriginal Collection, to assist with the care and management of the Australian Aboriginal Collection (artefacts) so as to ensure that the collection is accessible to Aboriginal communities and is actively used in exhibitions, public programs, online projects and research.

This position is only available to people who identify themselves as Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander. This action/activity constitutes a special measure under section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.

About the position

The position is accountable for assisting with the management and routine care of the Australian Aboriginal Collection, and with facilitating access to the collection, especially for Aboriginal community access.

This is a full-time, ongoing position. The salary on offer is $53,634 + 9.5% superannuation. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
