Auckland Museum is an influential, much-loved organisation at the centre of Auckland’s identity, committed to developing and sharing engaging content through its galleries, exhibition, events and educational programmes.
A full-time permanent role is available for a highly motivated Audio Visual Technician to join the Museum at an exciting time of redevelopment and renewal. The role is as varied as is the working environment and will require enthusiasm, warmth and flexibility. You will work directly with the Audio Visual Manager to deliver AV services across a diverse range of public experience projects, provide maintenance and technical expertise to our permanent and temporary exhibitions, as well as support for the events program.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant qualifications
- Technical experience in relevant fields such as live production and theatre
- Understanding of AV system automation and integration
- Understanding of basic principles around project management
- Diplomacy, mediation and problems solving skills and well developed people skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays and or weekends.
- Current driver’s license
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and lively organisation
- Working week will include cover of weekends. Flexibility exists in how this achieved.
