The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) celebrates the screen in its myriad forms. Situated in the heart of Melbourne in Federation Square, ACMI is a major publicly funded museum, hosting exhibition spaces, galleries, cinemas, a Mediatheque and archive plus a shop, cafe and international touring arm. Supported by funding through the Victorian Government, it is the world’s most visited moving image or film cultural centre, attracting over 1.45 million visitors in 15/16.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with all Program and Business Teams, you will lead our marketing, communications and design activities. You will drive delivery of our overall brand identity, corporate reputation, positioning and profile. The role is critical in developing opportunities to engage new and diverse communities of interest, locally, nationally and internationally.

We are looking for a creative, dynamic professional, for a 12 month parental leave cover, to lead this vital part of our business. Driven by a passion for the moving image, you will be a collaborator with a proven track record leading innovative campaigns, and bring an enthusiasm to build on the ongoing brand strategy. You will have an engaging leadership style and bring extensive experience in management and business planning, coupled with communication, influencing and negotiation skills of the highest order.
