The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join the Museum’s Information Technology business unit as a Coordinator, IT Applications. This role is part of a team which has the critical function supporting the lifecycle of core business applications.
The successful candidate will be able to work under broad direction and self-initiate when required. The candidate will also be able to analyse, plan and execute work to time, cost and quality targets.
The key duties of the position include:
Key accountabilities
- Shared responsibilities for the delivery of application administration and support for the Museum’s core business applications:
- Microsoft 365 – Support of an enterprise-wide deployment of the Microsoft 365 environment across the Museum, including (but not limited to) SharePoint (including records management capabilities), Teams, Microsoft Apps, Exchange and Single Sign On capabilities.
- SaaS based business applications, including managing the implementation of security features, such as single sign on
- System administration for the Museum’s Enterprise Resource Planning systems (finance, payroll, rostering, etc)
- Support for the Museum’s Customer Relationship Management system, providing ticketing capabilities to the public system
- Identity management and application integration capabilities
- Management of the Museum’s data and its use within business intelligence reports across the Museum
- Build stakeholder relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors to consult and communicate with on upgrades and changes to the systems.
- Work collaboratively with internal service delivery groups to ensure effective security administration of the core business systems.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Work Health and Safety (WH&S) by actively supporting a positive safety culture, following the Museum’s WHS policies and procedures, and complying with reasonable instructions to ensure alignment with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011
Skills, experience and qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in the administration of one or more:
- Applications and cloud services related to the Microsoft 365 environment (Microsoft Apps, SharePoint, Power Platform, etc)
- Aurion HRIMS and other ERP systems (Payroll, FMIS, etc)
- Tessitura CRM and other ticketing and retail systems
- Information management systems
- User and configuration management for corporate and cultural systems
- Demonstrated knowledge in the lifecycle of business applications.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to think logically to resolve problems and provide effective, timely and professional support on a range of IT systems, including the ability to quickly learn new unfamiliar systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge across a range of IT areas including cloud, identity, applications and integration (including API gateway functions etc).
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to outline technical impacts and requirements, the preparation and maintenance of technical procedures and system design documentation, and the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes.
