Auckland Museum is an influential, much-loved organisation at the centre of Auckland’s identity, committed to developing and sharing engaging content through its galleries, exhibition, events and educational programmes. It is an exciting time to join the Auckland Museum as we embark on a journey of redevelopment and renewal.

We currently have the following Visitor Host positions available:

  • 2 x Permanent 40 hours per week
  • 1 x Permanent Part – time 8 hours per week

The role of Visitor Host is not for the faint hearted. It requires someone who is flexible and adaptable, not only to meet the expectations of working across a 7 day work roster but also in your approach to working a diverse range of tasks and duties. In order to be successful in this role it is essential that bring the below skills to the role:

  • Exceptional Customer Services Skills
  • Clear Written and Verbal Communication
  • Problems solving and use of initiative and a “can-do” positive attitude.
  • Cash Handling Experience
  • Ability to work well in a team and be a key team player
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Cultural Awareness
