MAAS currently operates three sites, the Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo, Sydney Observatory in Millers Point and Museums Discovery Centre in Castle Hill. In April 2018, the NSW Government announced the largest investment in museum infrastructure in Australia’s history, which will enable MAAS to expand its operations, and will ensure the Museum and its collection remain a critical part of our local and global communities for centuries to come.

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day to day delivery of security and other operational services across the Powerhouse Museum Ultimo, Sydney Observatory Milsons Point, and the Museum Discovery Centre at Castle Hill.
To be eligible to apply for this role you must meet these requirements:
- Hold a class 1A NSW Police recognised security licence
- Hold a class 1C NSW Police recognized security licence, or be willing to obtain one
- Demonstrated extensive experience in the Security or related industry, including operational security duties, crowd control and control room operations at a supervisory level
- Operational and management security experience or related experience in a high-profile public site with 24 hour seven days per week coverage
- Willingness to work on a rotating rostered basis across all three MAAS sites which will include weekends, public holidays and out of business hours
- Other – The successful applicant is required to undergo, and for new employees meet the cost of a National Police Records Check, and be assessed as suitable.
