Sydney Living Museums (SLM) cares for a group of 12 of the most important historic houses, gardens and museums in NSW on behalf of the people of NSW.

Our partner – The State Archives and Records Authority of New South Wales (NSW State Archives and Records) is one of Australia’s pre-eminent Archives and Records Authorities with a vast collection of historical records and archives dating back to the European settlement of Australia in 1788. With responsibilities for the development, preservation and access for the State’s archives, NSW State Archives and Records is also responsible for managing and storing over 640 kilometres of semi-permanent Government records for NSW public sector offices.
What you’ll do with us
This role provides strategic direction and leadership in the integration of NSW State Archives & Records Authorities and Sydney Living Museums’ human resources services by developing and implementing workforce planning and delivering human resources strategies to foster inclusivity and positive culture.

Responsibilities
What the essential requirements of the role are
- Broad understanding of general public sector management, the machinery of NSW Government, political processes and Ministerial requirements, with a specific knowledge of issues and trends in NSW.
- Knowledge of applicable WHS legislation including interpretation and practical application.
- Extensive experience in implementing strategic HR plans and solutions, improving organisational performance and productivity in order to meet business objectives.
- Current NSW Driver’s licence.
