The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join a new team within the Information Technology business unit as the Senior Applications Administrator. The intent of this new team is to build a capability to provide administration and integration of the agency’s core business systems including Office 365, CM9, thankQ, Piction and EMu.
The key duties of the position include:
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Providing expertise and guidance on Microsoft 365 implementation and deployment.
- Providing ongoing application administration and support to the Museum’s core business applications including Office 365, CM9, thankQ, Piction, eMU, and other elements of the environment.
- Working closely with the systems team to manage and lead upgrades and development activities, in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Lead the Applications Team in developing and delivering a range of user awareness and training initiatives.
- Ensure the team’s leadership and participation in user forums and communities of practice.
- Provide leadership in the continuous improvement of the Museum’s core business applications.
- Lead the team in the transition from CM9 to O365 records management.
- Lead and direct the day-to-day priorities of the Applications Team.
- Analyse the organisation’s requirements and provides recommendations to ensure the solutions remain a positive fit for purpose.
- Communicate with internal customers and vendors on upgrades and changes to the systems.
- Ensure effective security administration of the core business systems, including development of new security roles as needed and user maintenance.
- Ensure the documentation of standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles relevant to the team’s responsibilities.
- Lead the contribution of the team to larger changes and projects when the capability is required on multi-functional project teams.
- Maintain good business-focused collaboration and agility in approaches to how the systems are maintained and supported.
