As the welcoming faces of our museums, our front-of-house teams are integral to our visitor experiences. At Queensland Museum, we want to transform our visitor experiences across our network to provide exceptional and enriching visitor experiences. This includes a consistent, high-quality, welcoming, and seamless visitor experience, as well as a connection with programming, experiences, and membership programs. The Head – Visitor Experience will redesign and deliver new practices and process to better serve the needs of our visitors and sustain a culture of excellence, collegiality, and hospitality.
Job details
There are no mandatory qualifications. However, the below would be highly regarded:
- 7-10 years experience in leadership roles within a visitor experience-related field and/or organisation including the arts or cultural sector, hospitality, entertainment, or educational environments.
- Certified customer service accreditation.
- Demonstrated record of leading change across a geographically dispersed organisation.
- Demonstrated record of leading high-performing team/s.
- Qualification/s in tourism, hospitality, commerce, business, or related fields.
Employment screening: criminal history, a Working with Children (Blue Card), and previous discipline history check will be undertaken.
