The Learning Manager, Regional leads the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality learning programs at Queensland Museum Network regional campuses and at special events throughout regional Queensland. We are looking for an experienced people and project manager, with a strong understanding of inquiry and object-based learning, particularly as it relates to STEM outreach and the Australian Curriculum.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Queensland Museum Network (QMN), to work as a member of the Lifelong Learning team, with a focus on regional engagement and leading collaborative projects that improve student and community engagement with QMN collections and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths).
Within this role, you will support the Lifelong Learning team by leading the delivery of Lifelong Learning programming at our regional museum campuses and through special events in regional Queensland. You will conceptualise, develop, implement and evaluate initiatives designed to engage and inspire teachers, students, and family audiences, and which support QMN’s vision, and strategic and operational direction.
You will provide day-to-day operational management to Learning Officers based at QMN campuses and involved in STEM outreach to create high-quality learning outcomes for a diverse range of museum audiences, including targeted programs for teachers and students. This will involve leading the development of educational programs and accompanying resources that use inquiry and object-based learning to highlight Museum research and collections.
