Senior Collection Manager, Cultures and Histories

The Queensland Museum Network (QMN) holds more than 200,000 cultural and historical artefacts that chronicle the evolution of power, beliefs, values, culture, industrial and technological innovation of Queensland, and its place in the world.
The Senior Collection Manager will manage and lead the collection management function across the Cultures and Histories Program, across all campuses, to the highest standard, including both the physical and electronic components of the collection and in partnership with other QMN functional managers.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who has well developed collection management skills with an understanding of the specific requirements of cultural collections, especially regarding responsible governance and compliance.
To secure this opportunity you will have tertiary, preferably postgraduate, qualification/museum studies, cultural heritage, archaeology, anthropology, or another closely related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
