Manager, Security Operations

You will be paid a competitive annual salary rate $129,464 – $142,665 plus employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 12 %) and annual leave loading.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in operational security and risk management, supervising control room operations, and implementing emergency management procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and planning, delivering, and supporting training and resources for both security teams and operational stakeholders
  • Strong experience managing security services, emergency response, and crowd management in public venues, including large-scale events and VIP protection
  • Strong knowledge of security, licensing, emergency management, and WHS legislation, including the NSW Security Industry Act 1997, related regulations, and relevant Australian and international standards. Technical expertise in electronic security systems, fire detection, public address, CCTV, and advanced alarm technologies aligned with museum standards
  • Proven skills in procedure writing, policy development, incident reporting, investigations, intelligence analysis, contract management, and designing security training programs

 

Essential requirements

  1. Minimum 10 years operational security experience
  2. Must possess relevant security licences for NSW including 1AE and capable of achieving 2ABCD.
  3. Preferred/Capable of achieving Cert IV in Security and Risk Management and Cert IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor.
  4. A satisfactory Working with Children Check (WWCC).
