The Head, Digital Experience is responsible for the leadership and strategic management of the Memorial’s digital presence, including websites, customer relationship management and ticketing platforms and delivery of digital museum projects and stakeholder engagement projects. The role manages the technical aspects of digital delivery for a world-class museum, user-centric content development, and projects to expand the customer digital journey, through leading a team of professionals skilled in each. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on user experience, excellent stakeholder and digital engagement skills and significant project experience coupled with timely and strategic advice on digital communication and online engagement to senior management.
The key duties of the position include:
- Lead and manage the Digital Experience team to deliver the Memorial’s Digital Engagement Strategy and key projects within digital platforms for customers in support of the organisation’s corporate priorities.
- Manage and maintain the Memorial’s websites, including content, usability and user experience, as well as the supporting IT systems and infrastructure.
- Lead content development and usability for websites in creation of a seamless and engaging user experience
- Lead strategic delivery of the customer relationship management (CRM) platform, and other digital platforms including bookings, ticketing and rostering
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal (and external) stakeholders to deliver flexible and collaborative positive user-centred digital engagement outcomes.
- Develop and implement policies and initiatives and manage projects that will shape the direction of offsite digital engagement.
- Provide advice on emerging digital technologies and adoption of new systems and platforms by the Memorial through Assistant Director Public Programs and informed by Chief Information Officer.
- Provide strong leadership of the Digital Experience section, including business system and process improvements through developing staff capabilities to deliver against the Business Plan objectives.
Eligibility
- Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS).
- All applicants external to AWM that are offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a National Police Check, even if they currently hold a security clearance. The check is conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements.
- Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
