We are currently seeking a collaborative Audio-Visual Technician to support the setup, operation, maintenance, and repair of audio and video equipment across a range of events, presentations, activations, and installations. The aim of this hands-on role is to support various teams to provide high-quality Audio-Visual experiences for Scitech’s activities.
This position is offered on a casual basis, with rostered shifts across Monday to Sunday.
In this role you will:
- Maintain and repair all audio-visual equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Help set up, test, and operate audio-visual equipment for events and presentations/meetings.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all audio-visual issues.
- Maintain an inventory of audio-visual equipment and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
- Train staff on the proper use of audio-visual equipment.
- Create and maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.
- Work closely with event coordinators, presenters, IT Services staff and other stakeholders to ensure audio-visual needs are met.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking someone who can effectively manage expectations and provide reliable, high-quality support. Ideally, you’ll have two years’ experience in a similar role, but this is not essential.
Other skills and experience required includes:
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail;
- Experience with setting up and operating a variety of audio-visual equipment;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency with a variety of audio-visual equipment and software; and
- National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one.
