We are seeking a highly collaborative and efficient People and Culture Officer to join our supportive team, who will be responsible for providing a wide range of both people services and administrative support.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, you’ll play a key role in delivering operational HR support across recruitment, onboarding, compliance and People & Culture projects.

This is a hands-on true generalist role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, employment changes and exits
  • Leading end-to-end recruitment processes, including job ads, phone screening, interviews and offers
  • Coordinate onboarding activities including Working with Children Checks, Fit2Work applications and induction days.
  • Preparing and maintaining employment contracts, HR documentation and employee records
  • Providing managers with employee relation support, including performance management, conduct and other disciplinary matters
  • Ensuring compliance with Fair Work, awards and Australian employment legislation
  • Contributing to culture, engagement and values-based people projects and practices.

 

About you:

We are seeking a proactive individual with a can-do attitude who enjoys working across a broad range of People & Culture activities. With strong stakeholder engagement skills and adaptability, you will play an integral role in supporting both people and operational objectives of the business.

You’ll bring:

  • Qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a HR generalist or similar People & Culture role
  • Knowledge of Australian HR legislative frameworks (i.e. the Fair Work Act) and contemporary HR practices.
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen ability to prioritise tasks to meet required deadlines.
