Australian to run iconic Guggenheim Museum, Australian Financial Review, 10
An Australian will for the first time run New York’s iconic Guggenheim Museum.
Darwin-born Melissa Chiu will take over as director at the famous Frank Lloyd Wright-designed contemporary art gallery from September 1, after 12 years at the helm of Washington’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, which is part of the Smithsonian Institution.
