Powerhouse

We are seeking to appoint 2 Talent Acquisition Specialists, upto 12 months and upto 2 yrs. The role is operational and hands-on, with accountability for independently managing recruitment campaigns from briefing to onboarding and genuinely influence how we attract and hire talent.  The role ensures recruitment practices align with government policies, workforce planning priorities and best-practice talent acquisition principles. Day to day, you will work side by side with hiring managers – not just taking briefs, but challenging thinking, spotting opportunities, and proactively finding great people (not just the ones applying). You will be trusted to deliver a great experience on both sides – giving honest, practical advice to stakeholders and ensuring candidates feel informed, supported, and valued throughout the process. You are comfortable figuring things out as you go and aren’t afraid to try a different approach when it gets better results.  Role is fulltime in the office and requires work across all Powerhouse sites

About Powerhouse

Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.

We welcome and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTI+, people with disability, people with caring responsibilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and veterans.
