2026 Annual Conference | Adelaide, Australia — Registration Now Open, ICOM Australia, 2026

Adelaide will welcome the International Council of Museums Committee for Natural History (NATHIST) Annual Conference and General Meeting from 9–11 November, with tours and associated events from 12–13 November 2026.

This international gathering will bring together museum professionals, scientists, researchers, and natural history specialists from across the globe to share knowledge, explore emerging ideas, and strengthen collaboration across the natural history collections sector.

Delivered by the South Australian Museum and the Botanic Gardens & State Herbarium, the conference will highlight the critical role of sustainability, conservation, and research in responding to a changing world and shaping the future of natural history collections.

The program will explore key areas including sustainability and collections conservation in a changing world, insights from natural history collections, emerging issues shaping the sector, and the role of urban greening and biodiversity. With a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and professional exchange, the conference will provide a platform for both established and emerging professionals.
