Duties
The Australian War Memorial is now seeking Researchers to support the authors of the various volumes of the Official Historian of Australian Operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Australian Peacekeeping Operations in East Timor. Researchers will be appointed for a period of five years, and will be members of a project team led by the Official Historian. Researchers will be each allocated to a single volume of this series, and will be provided administrative and managerial support by the Official History project. Decisions regarding which volume each Researcher will be allocated to will be discussed at the interview stage, and finalised at the point of offer to successful applicants.

Eligibility
It would be expected that a Researcher in the Official History project will have had thorough academic historical / research / methodological training. In most cases this would equate to a research degree qualification, or commensurate professional or industry experience.

Notes
This position requires the occupant to obtain and maintain a security clearance at Negative Vetting Level 2.

Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified task

The position will be filled for a specified task with an estimated completion date of 2022.
