You will apply your management skills to lead a curatorial team in the delivery of curatorial and collection based support for Queensland Museum and Sciencentre. This includes a key role in the delivery of a multidisciplinary and collaborative project commemorating the centenary of World War 1 to be opened in November 2018. You will use your management skills and an understanding of curatorial practice to deliver innovative engagement for museum visitors, inspired by real stories and objects. This will result in a large scale permanent exhibition and public program outcomes addressing Queensland’s social and cultural heritage. In addition you will lead a team to manage and develop the social history collections in accordance with agreed strategic priorities of Queensland Museum.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Tertiary, preferably postgraduate, qualification in Australian Social History, or other closely related field (e.g. Australian Studies, Museum Studies, Cultural Studies, Anthropology or Archaeology) from a recognised tertiary institution is required.
