About the Australian Museum
The Australian Museum (AM) operates within the NSW Department of Justice and was founded in 1827 and is the first museum in Australia. The AM provides access, engagement and scientific research to increase our understanding of natural history and culture, particularly of the Australasian region. The AM holds more than 18 million objects of biological, geological and cultural collections and develops programs, exhibitions and school and community education initiatives onsite, online and offsite. About the role
This role is responsible for the delivery of Indigenous tours, programs and other types of interpretation of AM’s Indigenous collections. This role will also assist in the development of programs and programming ideas. This role will also be responsible in assisting the Creative Producer, Cultural Programs on a number of duties if necessary, examples of tasks may include development of databases, ordering resources or answering public inquires.

You will receive training in delivering tours and gain in-depth knowledge of the AM’s galleries and collection. Shifts are 3 hours minimum and reflective of demand and AM programming.
