The Conversation Hour: Down the rabbit hole with Wonderland, ABC, 6 April 2018

Ali Moore is filling in for Jon Faine. Her co-host is Katrina Sedgwick who is Director and CEO of the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI). She was previously Head of Arts for ABC TV and online, and was founding Festival Director and CEO of the Adelaide Film Festival.

Their first guest is Jessica Bram, curator of the Wonderland exhibition, ACMI (with Sarah Tutton). You can see Wonderland, a Melbourne Winter Masterpieces world premiere exhibition exploring Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) in Federation Square, until 7thOctober 2018. A companion book to the exhibition, Wonderland was edited by Emma McRae and is published by Thames & Hudson.

Then they are joined by Matt and Wenday Crandall, who have lent pieces from their collection for the Wonderland exhibition. Matt is the Lewis Carroll Society’s foremost expert on Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, and has been collecting items related to Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland for 30 years. Wendy is a board member of the Lewis Carroll Society of North America, and has been a collector of Alice in Wonderland material (primarily books) since the early 1980s.
