The Sovereign Hill Museums Association is a not-for profit community-based museum organisation that collects, researches and interprets the heritage of the goldrushes and the Ballarat region. The organisation includes Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum, the Gold Museum, Sovereign Hill Hotel, AURA and Narmbool.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Administration Assistant for our Finance Department

The Administration Assistant assists with processing orders, invoice reconciliations, data input, reconciliation of daily cash takings and provides change for small business and retail areas across Sovereign Hill businesses

The successful applicant must have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded
  • Cash handling and cash reconciliation experience is preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of MS Office
  • Display high level attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Must show a strong sense of responsibility, be well organised and be able to prioritise tasks
  • Must be willing and able to work weekends, public holidays and school holidays

Checks and Qualifications:

  • Police Check
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Covid Vaccination
  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Certificate II or III in Business, Office Administration or Accounting, or attainment towards one of these qualifications will be highly regarded
