Museum Victoria is seeking an Administration Support Officer to provide administration support primarily to the Manager, Scienceworks and the Business Manager, Scienceworks and to all Scienceworks staff.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The position is accountable for providing administrative support which will enable the routine daily business of Scienceworks to be undertaken efficiently and effectively.

Key Selection Criteria:

  1. Ability to understand and apply established office systems and finance procedures
  2. Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Microsoft Outlook and other computer software including databases.
  3. Exposure to Chameleon, CRM and Great Plains preferred but not essential
  4. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well with both internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Ability to work independently and a willingness to perform a range of duties as part of a team, particularly in a busy office environment
  6. Ability to manage time and effectively prioritise tasks in an environment of tight deadlines.
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgement regarding sensitive issues
