Applicants found suitable but not recommended for this vacancy, may be considered for subsequent similar vacancies at the WA Museum for a period of six (6) months, in accordance with Part 5 (General Appointment) of the Commissioner’s Instructions No. 2: Filling a Public Sector Vacancy.

A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department’s Police Record Screening Policy.

This position is located in Albany on the southern coast of Western Australia. Albany is known for its cultural heritage, history and natural scenic beauty of rugged granite coastline and green seas. The Western Australian Museum overlooks picturesque Princess Royal Harbour (Mamang Koort), on Menang country and the site of the first European settlement in Western Australia.

About the role

As the Administrative Assistant you provide administrative and secretarial services to the Regional Manager and staff at the Museum of the Great Southern including administration related to Finance and Human Resources processes.
