About the role
As the Administrative Assistant, you provide professional-level administrative and secretarial support to the site Manager and staff at the WA Museum Boola Bardip, including administration related to Finance and Human Resource processes.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic, super-organised individual with high-level office administrative experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced and diverse environment.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Provide direct administrative support to the site Manager including basic financial and human resources administrative processing.
- Arrange meetings with internal and external stakeholders including the preparation of meeting agenda, set up meeting rooms/teleconference facilities, and take Minutes as required.
- Perform research per requests/enquiries, including analysis of documents, and coordinating of information as required.
- Undertake general records and file management, utilising the Museum’s electronic Information Management System (viz., Content Manager/TRIM).

Eligibility to Apply
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department’s Police Record Screening Policy.
Pool Recruitment
This Pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Applicants found suitable for this Pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies with the WA Museum for the duration of the Pool.
Permanent, fixed-term, full-time, and part-time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise across all Museum locations; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
