Happy New Year and welcome to 2023! We hope you had a happy and relaxed festive season and are enjoying a fabulous start to 2023.

We are excited to announce Zandra Yeaman, The Hunterian in Glasgow, Scotland, and Kate Larsen, Arts, Cultural and Non-Profit Consultant and Writer, as keynote speakers for the upcoming AMaGA National Conference 2023:Discomfort.


Keynote Speakers

Zandra Yeaman has been Curator of Discomfort at The Hunterian, University of Glasgow since 2021. She has a background in anti-racist activism in Scotland, working for social justice and equality. The Hunterian’s ‘Curating Discomfort’ project was devised to challenge historical power dynamics and, through ‘uncomfortable’ processes, empower new forms of collaboration between community groups, museum professionals and academics.


Kate Larsen (she/her) is a writer, arts and cultural consultant with more than 20 years’ experience in the non-profit, government and cultural sectors in Australia, Asia and the United Kingdom. Kate is a thought-leader in the areas of arts governance and cultural leadership, workplace culture and well-being, online communication and communities, and being an ally for inclusion and community-leadership of underrepresented groups.


Early Bird Registration

AMaGA 2023 Early Bird registration closes on Monday 30 January 2023, after which standard registration rates will apply, starting at $950 for AMaGA members.
