As you will all be aware, there have been significant developments regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in the last few days, and the situation is still changing.

AMaGA is taking all government advice seriously and, as such, the National Council Management Committee met on Friday to discuss the planned Conference for Canberra in May. That Committee decided to POSTPONE the national conference on the recommendation from the Canberra 2020 Conference Organising committee to a date later this year.

The team is working very hard behind the scenes to make changes and renegotiate venues and we hope to be in a position to announce the new Canberra conference dates in the near future.

With the most recent advice and various States of Emergency many of our Museum and Gallery  members will be taking decisions to restrict their activities, with some closing their public operations completely.

AMaGA will be sending out information to members as it is received and confirmed. We urge our member to stay safe, informed and vigilant, and to check on your family, friends and neighbours.
