Arts Workforce Scoping Study, Service & Creative Skills Australia, November 2024
As part of the commitment to the National Cultural Policy, Revive, we have engaged Creative Australia to explore the current and emerging challenges and opportunities within the Arts, Entertainment and Cultural sector.
Overview
The Arts Workforce Scoping Study project is a result of the commitment set out within the National Cultural Policy, Revive, launched in January 2023. Revive is a five-year plan by the Australian Government designed to renew and revive the Arts sector within Australia.
The policy aims to address the longstanding challenges faced by artists and arts workers, providing them with the support and resources needed to thrive.
The Arts Workforce Scoping Study is a comprehensive project aimed at understanding the breadth and diversity of the Arts sector’s workforce. The findings from this study will be used to inform and support our Workforce Plan for the Arts and ongoing strategies to address workforce challenges.
This project will delve into the distinct segments, issues, opportunities, and needs within the Arts sector to inform effective workforce planning and activity development.
SaCSA has engaged Creative Australia, the Australian Government’s principal arts investment and advisory body, as the Subcontractor to deliver the Arts Workforce Scoping Study.
