The Otago Museum is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Curator, Māori to join our team and support our internationally renowned taonga Māori collection.
Reporting to the Curator, Māori, the Assistant Curator Māori will work closely with Museum staff and Māori Advisory Committee carrying out collection activities according to tikanga Māori and accepted professional standards in curation and collections management.

Applicants will have well-developed organisational skills, a relevant tertiary qualification and practical experience working with taonga Māori.

Key skills for this position will be the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and appropriately in all settings, to work well with a diverse range of people, and to respond well under pressure.
