We are seeking a passionate and systematic person to help support collection care and information management within the Museum’s Collections team.

The Assistant Curator role involves entering collection information into databases, preparing documentation, undertaking regular checks and sharing stories about our collection.

The successful candidate will provide support services within our Collections team and assist with administration of collection-related projects and systems.

To be successful in this role you will hold or be working toward a tertiary qualification in the sciences, and have a genuine passion for the natural sciences, the importance of collections and the role of the Museum in our community.

You will have outstanding organisational and communication skills, a positive attitude and a focus on getting things done.

This position is a permanent role, working 32 hours Monday to Friday with a possible opportunity to increase the hours to 40 hours a week from August 2016.
