The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a schools engagement-focused individual to join the Museum to manage the development and delivery of our outreach school learning programs. These include digital programs, online resources and visiting Australian schools.

The successful candidate will be an active member of the Visitor Experience business unit and work to ensure that audience experience and engagement are at the forefront of our work.

The key duties of the position include:

The successful candidate will have experience building and developing education programs for students and professional learning programs for teachers. You will have a strong understanding of Australian history and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture. You will have a solid record of achievement in a Museum theatre, classroom teaching or similar role and a strong understanding of current education theory and practice.

You will have previous project management experience, leading teams and managing resources to deliver quality outcomes. You will have experience allowing you to develop education programs and resources via different methods, including in schools, digital programming and online resources.

A flexible, agile and innovative approach will be highly regarded.
