The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) celebrates the screen in its myriad forms. ACMI is a major, publicly funded museum situated in the heart of Melbourne in Federation Square hosting exhibition spaces, galleries, two state of the art cinemas, a Mediatheque and archive plus a shop and café. Supported by funding through the Victorian Government, in only a decade it has become the world’s most visited moving image or film cultural centre, attracting over 1.3 million visitors in 2014.

We have an exciting role within our Exhibitions and Touring Team for an experienced Assistant Registrar to focus on our outbound touring program and in-house exhibitions. The successful incumbent will be primarily responsible for managing a wide range of Exhibition Registration tasks and activities for a diverse range of touring exhibition projects, regularly representing ACMI as courier at National and International venues as required, and supporting in-house exhibition projects. We are looking for a candidate with an extensive background and hands on experience in Exhibition Registration within a cultural institution. This experience will be coupled with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in fast paced creative environment as well as a sound knowledge of OH&S and safe working practices.
