Te Papa’s Audience and insights Directorate connects the public with the knowledge and taonga housed within Aoteraoa’s national museum. With Te Papa embarking on an ambitious programme to renew all permanent exhibitions over the coming years, combined with the development of short term exhibitions it is an exciting time to join team Te Papa!

Reporting to the Head of Audience Insights, the Audience Insights Advisor actively supports the development of audience research and evaluation activities, and connects Te Papa’s teams with audience panels and research partners to provide insights that inform and guide development across the wide range of Te Papa’s world-class audience experiences.

The position is also be responsible for Te Papa’s visitor profile and exhibition survey activity and capturing a broad scope of visitor information and engagement through a range of tools. The successful candidate will be supporting internal partners regular reporting needs, analysis, and ad-hoc requests. Importantly, in addition to delivering insights, the position has an advocacy component responsible for promoting audience centric thinking across Te Papa.

The starting salary for this position will be between $59,000 to $70,000 pa. Offers will be made within the range in accordance with the skills and experience offered by the candidate and those required of the role, and relativities with others in a comparable role in the band.
