Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking an experienced and effective person to conduct interviews with our visitors and stakeholders to understand them and their experiences of Museums Victoria better and help us identify how we can better serve their needs.

Museum Victoria cares for the State scientific and cultural collections, providing visitor access, activities and events at five distinct venues: Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, IMAX Cinema and world heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building.

About the position:

The primary responsibility of the Audience Insights Officer is be accountable for the use of effective and efficient interviewing skills to engage visitors, other audiences and stakeholders connected to Museums Victoria in order to collect and record high quality information.

The successful applicant will have excellent interviewing skills in a market research environment and an ability to collect accurate quantitative and qualitative data. The applicant must be able to work independently and consistently reach set targets.  Oral and written communication skills as well as competent experience in the use of computerised systems and software packages are essential.
