An exciting opportunity to join the team at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery (QVMAG)
The City of Launceston, an award winning Employer of Choice, is currently seeking to fill the following TWO positions:
Position Title: Audit Assistant
Position Numbers: POS1643 and POS1644
These are temporary part-time positions (19 hours per week) up until 30 June 2024.
The Audit Assistant position exists:
- To provide timely and accurate input of data into the QVMAG Collections Management System;
- To assist with the data entry required for the Collections Audit at QVMAG;
- To assist with the consolidation of hard copy files in preparation for digitization;
- To perform object handling as directed by the Audit Registrar.
This role will primarily be assigned to a collection area: Visual Art and Design, Natural Sciences, History, or Aboriginal Collections.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of our values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Accurate typing with a minimum speed of 35 words per minute;
- Ability to learn new database software;
- Accuracy in data entry formatting and standards;
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions when handling fragile material;
- Successfully completed Year 10.
