The Sovereign Hill Museums Association is a not-for profit community -based museum organisation that collects, researches and interprets the heritage of the Victorian gold rushes and the Ballarat region. The organisation includes Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum, Gold Museum, Sovereign Hill Hotel, AURA and Narmbool.

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the position of AURA Bookings Officer. If you have a passion for history, this role could be for you!

The AURA Bookings Officer (Night) is responsible for welcoming guests while handling all visitor enquiries in a polite and efficient manner ensuring their requirements are processed effectively

To be successful must have:

  • Experience in a Customer Service role
  • Experience in cash handling, electronic POS and daily takings reconciliations
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, an outgoing personality and the ability to build a rapport with staff and visitors
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated high level customer service skills
  • Intermediate computer skills in all areas of Microsoft Office
  • Possess a basic understanding of tourism activities and locations within the Ballarat region
  • Ability to work flexible evening rosters including weekends, public holidays and school holidays
