A new outing for the AURA sound and light show at Sovereign Hill, The Courier, 21 January 2021

The Aura sound and light show will return to Ballarat’s Sovereign Hill this weekend.

The family-friendly show traces the story of gold and its importance to the local area, portraying scenes from the Dreamtime as well as the Eureka Rebellion.

It is running for the four evenings up to and including January 26.

It will then air on Saturday nights until further notice.

The event was first run at the attraction in March 2019 as a replacement for the highly successful and long-running Blood on the Southern Cross sound and light show.

Funding for the upgrade was announced in 2017.

Last year, there were 31,793 who attended the Aura show according to Sovereign Hill’s latest annual report

During this season’s showings of Aura audiences will be restricted to just 50 people.

Tickets start from $45 for adults, $24.50 for children and $101 for family tickets.

First shows run from January 23 to 26, then on Saturday nights subsequently. See sovereignhill.com.au/aura for further details and to book.
