The Electorate Profiles have been refreshed for 2019. This interactive online resource provides information on arts and culture for each of Australia’s 151 federal electorates.
Users can choose an electorate from a drop-down menu or map to display targeted information on arts engagement, ticket buying behaviour and creative and cultural businesses and employment.
What’s new in 2019?
- Enhanced map functionality making it easier to select and view electorates
- Newly commissioned ABS data on adult and children’s cultural attendance and participation presented at electorate level for the first time
- Latest ticketing data for arts and sports events from TEG Analytics provides up to date analysis about the preference, behaviours and purchasing patterns of arts audiences.
When Australian artists connect with audiences around the globe, they share our culture and perspectives and deepen our connections with other nations and cultures. Music is a powerful tool for building national identity, cultural exchange and cultural diplomacy.
Born Global: Australian Music Exports brings together for the first time a representation of the economic and cultural impacts of Australian music internationally and offers the first benchmark figure for the total value of Australian music exports. It provides an important opportunity to recognise the achievements of the music industry and to consider future potential.
