About the Australian Museum and the Australian Citizen Science Association

The Australian Museum (AM) operates within the NSW Department of Justice and was founded in 1827 and is the first museum in Australia. The AM provides access, engagement and scientific research to increase our understanding of natural history and culture, particularly of the Australasian region. The AM holds more than 18 million objects of biological, geological and cultural collections and develops programs, exhibitions and school and community education initiatives onsite, online and offsite. The Australian Citizen Science Association (ACSA), is a young national association focused on supporting those involved in citizen science activities across Australia.  ACSA is generously supported by Inspiring Australia and the Australian Museum, where this position will be hosted.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic person who can help us establish ACSA as the peak body for citizen science in Australia.  This position will assist with managing the day to day operations of the Association, providing front line service to ACSA Members and the ACSA Management Committee.
