Adam Worrall joined MAGNT in July 2022 and brings to the role over 35 years of experience working in Australia’s most prestigious state and federal art galleries and museums. His previous experience includes 15 years as Assistant Director at the National Gallery of Australia, where his responsibility included the care of nation’s largest and most valuable visual arts collection, and five years at the Western Australian Museum.

Adam has championed our First Nations and Australian artists, art, and culture to the world through significant international partnerships and was responsible for many of Australia’s much-loved and most remembered blockbuster exhibitions, including the record-breaking Masterpieces from Paris, James Turrell Retrospective, and Cartier: The Exhibition. He has overseen Australia’s most extensive program of travelling exhibitions to remote, regional, and metropolitan venues across Australia and brings to the role his significant experience in the delivery of major capital projects, audience engagement and increasing visitor attendances.
