Director: Ms Stephanie Bull

Stephanie Bull was appointed Director of The Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD), at Old Parliament House in February 2023. Ms Bull has extensive experience in the cultural sector.

Prior to joining MoAD, Ms Bull spent 19 years at the National Museum of Australia including as the Deputy Director for five years and prior to this she worked at the Australian War Memorial. Ms Bull holds a BA (Hons.) majoring in Australian history.

Located inside Old Parliament House, MoAD is a place for Australians and international visitors to walk through the history of Australia’s governance. Visitors are able to sit where history was made and policies passed in the Senate and House of Representatives, while constantly changing and evolving exhibitions encourage visitors to get hands-on with democracy.

MoAD plays a vital role in celebrating the stories of Australia’s unique democracy and the power of our visitors’ voices within it. Our programs engage diverse audiences to learn about democratic history and how Australia’s system works to inspire active participation.
