The Sovereign Hill Museums Association is a dynamic group of museums comprising of the Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum, Gold Museum and Narmbool. Our purpose at Sovereign Hill and the Gold Museum is to inspire an understanding of the significance of the central Victorian gold rushes in Australia’s national story, and at Narmbool of the importance of the land, water and biodiversity in Australia’s future.

Expressions of Interest are sought from suitably qualified and experienced teachers for Casual Relief Teaching opportunities in all or any of the following areas. These positions require a reasonable level of physical fitness and much of the work will be outdoors. The ability to work Monday to Friday and at short notice is also necessary.

Sovereign Hill 

Our education programs align with the Victorian Curriculum. We design and deliver face-to-face teaching programs tailored to suit the specific learning agendas of school groups and their teachers from Prep to VCE. If you are excited about the opportunity to dress up and teach primary and secondary students from all over Australia in our exciting outdoor museum, this position may be for you.

Narmbool

This position is for someone who is fit and keen to teach Science in an outdoor environment. Our education programs are immersive explorations of the unique environments on Narmbool and their past, present and future uses. Our programs
are suited to upper primary and lower secondary groups who visit on 2 day camps.
