Sovereign Hill is a dynamic group of museums presenting the mining, social, cultural and environmental heritage of the Ballarat region and its impact on Australia’s history.
Interpretive theatre and interpretive communication skills are fundamental to our engagement with visitors in our museums, particularly in the Outdoor Museum.
Sovereign Hill is seeking people interested in a 3 month Fixed Term Casual Interpreter position for Christmas/Summer holidays to work at our iconic Outdoor Museum.
In this role you will be required to perform in our interpretive programs and play roles such as Lola Montez and Mrs Davidson, provide exceptional customer service to all visitors, and cover lunch breaks in the retail outlets.
To be successful you must have experience with performing and public speaking, retail and cash handling skills and you must be able to communicate efficiently with all staff and visitors of Sovereign Hill.
You must be fully available over the Christmas/Summer Holiday period including weekends and public holidays.
