The Cenotaph HOME Project Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of two major gallery renewal projects. This position is reporting to the Gallery Renewal Programme Manager and working closely with colleagues responsible for content, collections and building works.

You will be working on two gallery renewal projects. One gallery project will require high level oversight on delivery of the gallery project during its implementation phase while line managing the current project manager; the other gallery will require full project management control from Concept Design through to implementation. It is a unique opportunity to be part of a Museum driving the transformation of the public experience through new galleries.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have proven experience in gallery renewal or exhibition project management and leadership. You will have worked on projects that include significant collections and heritage elements as well as multiple stakeholders and community representatives. You are going to be working with a range of different people across the museum and so you will be have proven communication and interpersonal skills. Last, but not least, our cultural landscape is really important to Auckland Museum. You’ll have an understanding of the principles and practices of the Treaty of Waitangi as well as a proactive approach towards, and awareness of, our wide range of cultures and associated protocol and traditions.
