The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a highly-skilled professional to lead and manage a small multidisciplinary team to deliver the full range of Finance functions. The role ensures the Museum delivers on its strategic financial priorities while operating sustainably. The Finance area acts as a partner to business areas providing quality advice and services.

In addition to the Museum’s requirements, elements of the Finance function are offered to a small group of clients as part of the Museum’s Cultural Corporate Shared Services Centre (CCSSC). The CFO plays a central role in the development of shared services arrangements.

The key duties of the position include:

The role requires extensive experience, strategic leadership, vision, and planning. The CFO will possess an excellent technical understanding of the Finance function in Government settings and be able to adapt requirements to the Museum’s operational environment. The role has full scope over the budgeting, financial management, treasury, budgeting, cost analysis, external audit, and reporting functions.
