The Australian National Maritime Museum which is located in Pyrmont, Sydney is currently advertising the position of: Chief Financial Officer, Finance & Information, Communication and Technology Division.
Purpose of the Position:
- Responsible to the Chief Executive Officer for the financial & ICT operations; planning; and management of the ANMM’s programs and activities as defined by the overall objectives and strategic planning of the ANMM.
- Prepare policy papers for Council, Finance Audit and Risk Management Sub-committee and the Executive on all matters relating to corporate, governance, financial, & ICT Provide inspirational leadership for and oversee the activities of the Finance & ICT teams, Policy and Governance.
- Liaise, in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer, with relevant Government departments and facilitate communication between Government; other Agency representatives and the ANMM Executive.
- Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and members of the Executive to achieve the strategic planned objectives of ANMM
Eligibility
Selection for this position will be made on the basis of relative merit which will be assessed against each item of the selection criteria. Applications that do not address the selection criteria will not be considered for short listing by the Selection Committee. As part of the selection process the selection committee may invite candidates to undertake psychometric test, you should advise the selection committee if you have any special needs. Psychometric tests may be used as the initial short-listing test or later in the selection process. Some tests are very short while others may take one or more hours.
