Duties
The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join the Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs team as a Chinese Social Media Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering content on the Museum’s Chinese social media channels including Weibo and WeChat and other relevant Chinese digital platforms. The successful candidate will also take the lead on audience and partnership engagement on these channels.
The main responsibilities will involve:
- Developing, writing, implementing and managing social media content across the Museum’s Chinese social media channels including content relating to:
– travelling exhibitions abroad
– Australian temporary exhibitions and collection highlights
– tourism-related campaigns
– online commercial opportunities. - Implementing the Museum’s Chinese social media strategy.
- Developing and implementing social media scheduling.
- Leading public engagement and mediating conversations on these channels.
- Identifying and activating online partnership opportunities.
- Following Chinese social media trends in order to embrace new developments and opportunities.
- Using social media and search engine analytics and monitoring and reporting tools to evaluate and report on social media activities and outcomes.
- Monitoring the Chinese Social Media budget.
- Being prepared to work outside standard business hours, to monitor social media as required.
