Job Description
We are seeking another experienced, forward-thinking Museum or Library / Information professional to join the Online Cenotaph and Enquiries Service team. The Collections Access Librarian, Internal will work to provide research support to Museum staff. This role will be responsible for championing the use of the Museum’s research systems, managing the Interloan service and providing increased access to our published and serials collections to our museum staff. This role will work as part of the Research Library Te Pātaka Mātāpuna, circulation and enquiry services to deliver an integrated, efficient, and customer-centred research service onsite and online.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Bring demonstrated experience in providing in-depth research assistance in an academic environment
- Have proven effective frontline customer service skills
- Hold a relevant Tertiary qualification, ideally in Library or Archival practice
- Strong knowledge and skills associated with digital collection information and databases
- Prior experience in Interloans service provision is desirable
- A basic proficiency of Te Reo and in tikanga Māori or a Pacific language and Pacific protocols is highly advantageous
