Position Description:
Under general direction of the Assistant Registrar, this position coordinates the collection audit program along with other complex Registration tasks including storage and movement work, curatorial viewings and transporting collection objects. This role can also involve other core Registration tasks and leadership work across the Registration team including store monitoring and management, collection documentation, loans and exhibition install and demount tasks.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the National Collection audit program including scheduling, monitoring, resource management, reporting and training staff.
  • Under general direction coordinate operational Registration tasks including: Monitoring and reporting back on issues in storage areas; monitor and allocate Registration Work Requests; contribute to the planning, scheduling and running of exhibition installations and demounts including packing, documentation and install of collection items.
  • Perform complex Registration tasks including packing, storage and transport of collection items including artworks, objects and large technology collection material.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of collection management policies and procedures and the training of new staff.
  • Perform other Registration and collection management tasks as directed.
